You can use any 3rd party software for this. Or if your motherboard supports internal overclocking then change some values in the BIOS.

The first thing is make sure you have a suitable processor cooler. Not the one that came with the PC.
Then go into the BIOS (tap the F2 key when you boot up).
Depending on your PC manufacture and the motherboard, just increase it slowly by 1-3% increments, don't go all out crazy 15%. After you find the right speed, make sure it's stable. Go run some programs, play some solitare, etc...

If you want to take the risk Change the CPU clock speed in your BIOS setup(by pressing F1 or F2 or DEL depend on your motherboard).
Make sure u get a good CPU fan too as overclocking will cause your computer to produce more heat

If you don't know how to overclock, then u dont deservev to be overclocking in the first place. People who WANT to overclock, can easily find out what to do, and should already have a knowledge of how to.

Do not over-clock or your CPU will be fried with-in few weeks or month. Why do you wish to do that. Do not bring your house down just because someone has bigger and better.
Meaning why over-clock unless if you want to be with upper-crust

overclocking is for those with substandard hardware. if you do your homework and match up all your components with 100% compatability you won't need to overclock.

You can overclock your pc, if you really want to but please make sure that you don't overheat your pc... easytune 5 (gigabyte) is very good software... or you can overclock it in your bios, which I wouldn't recommend
