Douching is the rinsing out of the vagina with a solution, such as water and vinegar. Douching is not a method of birth control. In fact, doctors recommend against douching as a way to prevent pregnancy.

Douching is not effective as a method of birth control because sperm are extremely fast swimmers - hundreds of thousands of them can reach the uterus before a girl even begins to douche. In addition, the pressure of the liquid squirted into the vagina can even push sperm into the uterus. Also, by douching, a girl can increase her risk of contracting a sexually transmitted disease (STD).

Most women douche in an to attempt to cleanse the vaginal area. But even this is not a good idea. The vagina has its own natural cleaning system that flushes out bacteria. So not only do the chemicals and perfumes in feminine sprays and douches not help, they can actually cause problems like allergic reactions or infections in the vagina.

No it does not prevent pregnancy. In fact it could even wash semen further into the womb and inadvertently assist in getting pregnant.

Either you need to stop (fat chance) having sex or get some real birth control before you become parents out of ignorance and stupidity.

That is one of the ultimate examples of selfishness I can think of, risk creating a child just because you want to get the "feeling". All kids deserve to have both parents in a healthy married relationship and in the same house providing a loving, nurturing, and secure environment for them to grow up in. A large part of the problem with today's kids is the lack of parenting or parental involvement in their kids lives.

You failed to state your age but I suspect are under age, very young or lack the maturity to engage in sex. The sex act is so much more than just a good feeling, and if that is your goal you are missing the best part, that can only be achieved in a committed marriage. Shacking up is NOT a prelude to marriage nor a committment. It is a false pretense and causes couples to form false expectations. When it ends, and it will somebody usually is devasted. Then they go out and do it all over again expecting a different outcome. That is insane!

Then if and when they do get married, the new status and relationship is different and they end up in divorce, at a rate of 80% according to statistics.

So, why would you conduct yourself in a such a manner, when that conduct and relationship potentially will end in failure? Would you employ a doctor to do brain surgery with a 20% success rate? I would not, I'd stack the odds in my favor as much as I could and find one with 80% or better results.

Think about it. Do you really want to risk mixing your gene pool with this person? Just because you no longer live together you will still have birthdays, holidays, graduations, weddings, etc that will be joint with that person you no longer are living with.

I solved my infertility problem with this great method http://get-pregnant.keysolve.net
It's a clinically proven holistic system for permanently reversing your infertility and your partner's infertility disorders and getting pregnant quickly, naturally and safely within 2 months without drugs, dangerous surgeries, side effects, or expensive infertility treatments.
You can also determine when you're ovulating with an ovulating prediction kit, you can buy them at most stores and they are found with the pregnancy tests. You can also buy a basal body temperature thermometer.
There have been many women to succeed with those types of methods. Did you know that it can take up to a year for most couples to conceive a baby, even when they have sex everyday for a year? It's actually normal. Conception isn't quite as easy as people make it out to be. Don't stress because it will happen for you.

Sperm come out of a man's penis at an amazing speed. They penetrate the cervix almost instantly after ejaculation.

No amount of post-coital douching will get rid of them. Douches don't do a damned thing to prevent pregnancy.

Nor do they do a damn against transmitting STDs or any other diseases passed by fluid transmission. The viruses and bacteria are faster than the douche.

You want to prevent pregnancy? Get on the pill and use a condom. End of story.

No it dosen't reduce the risk of pregnacy. Ur only suppose 2 use a douch after ur period and even doing that every month the dr's don't recommend 2 do. Some women just feel cleaner using them either daily or weekly or monthly.

All it takes is that one little swimmer. Douching does not prevent pregnancy.
Not even if she's right there, still in the position you left her in, Right after you pulled out with the douch.
Try Condoms.

That's not going to work very well because the sperm will still be in her right away after the guy comes, rinsing with water will only get rid of a little bit of it.

Any good sex ed book will tell you that it doesn't. The sperm that is going to cause the pregnancy has passed the cervix before the woman gets to the bathroom.
