Here's a list:
1) "The Bartimeaus Trilogy" by Jonathan Stroud (It's great!! I'm serious you should read this, it's awesome!)
2) "Eragon" by Christopher Paolini (It's great, the second book 'Eldest' is not as interesting though)
3) "Peter and The Starcatchers" by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson (The story behind Peter Pan)
4) "Gregor the Overlander" by Suzanne Collins (You'll love it)
5) "The Ravenmaster's Secret" by Elvira Woodruff (Very interesting)
6) "The Hobbit" by J.R. Tolkien (It's amazing)
7) "Sherlock Holmes and The Hound of The Baskervilles" by Arthur Conan Doyle (You have to get past the first few paragraphs but it's otherwise awesom)
8) "The Hollow" by Agatha Christie (I've also heard that Murder on Calais Coach a.k.a. Murder on the Orient Express is really good)
9) "Captain Hook" I can't remember who the author is (The story behind Capt. Hook)
10) "The Harper Hall Trilogy" by Anne McCaffrey (they're reall nice)
We seem to have the same taste in books because I have enjoyed all the books you've mentioned above and I'm really sure you'll enjoy these here books.
P.S. There is no order to the books above they are all really geat.

Have your read the Alchemist or Tuesdays with Morrie yet? Those are really good. If you like Angels and Demons... try the mystery novels by Lincoln Child and Douglas Preston. Special Agent Pendergast is the bomb. Start with the Relic, Cabinet of Curiousities, Still Life with Crows, Brimstone, and Dance of Death. For fantasy, try the Xanth series by Piers Anthony or the Dragons of Pern by Anne McCaffery. Oh! Clan of the Cavebear by Jean Auel, if you want a thick read.

I haven't read any of those books to date ::shame:: but my favorite books were the ones I read in my second year in college for my English class:
Goodbye Columbus (can't remember the author's name)
The Awakening by Kate Chopin
The Lottery (it's a short story, can't remember that author's name either)
Animal Farm by George Orwell
Nite by Eli Wiesel
And my favorite was a book that featured a combination of some of the best writers and poets of the early 50's through the late 70's, "The Beat Generation" excellent book. If you do read this book there are more writings and books to read outside of this one by those same authors at any book store or library along with recordings and short films.

ur so much like my friend... he NEVER quits reading. even the english teachers ask him to put up the book during class. he just glares at them, put it down, waits for them to turn around then picks it back up.
try these books on for size. theyre on my junior AP english reading list.
Non-Fiction:
Into the Wild- Jon Krakauer
How to Read Literature like a Professor- Thomas Foster

The Golden Compass Gary Paulsen, unless you already have ... it's the first of a series. If you are a mature 14-year-old, try Herman Hesse ... any and all ... he was my favorite author for a long time.
