there is just one reason: we havent limited fortunes to justice, like the founding fathers of america intended

if you pull up honey from a pot, the higher you pull it up, the lower the honey is in the pot

if you limit how high you can pull from the pot, you limit how low it goes in the pot

violence is proportional to the ratio between top and bottom

the most a person can earn is about US$2 million - that is, really earn and deserve, by putting $2 million worth of goods and services made by him into the pot [the social pool of wealth, of products of work]

because we are too stupid and allow the honey to be lifted to an unlimited height, way beyond what the person has put into the pot, there is less for everyone else to take out - ie, theft, injustice - hence violence

some get to take out way more than they put in, so others get out much less than they put in by their work - which makes them angry - quite fairly

after 1000s of years of this stupidity, we have 1% taking out 90% of the honey - US$70 trillion a year - leaving 10% for the remaining 99% - US$5 trillion

if the pot was a metre deep, the highest pay is 1000 KILOMETRES - the honey is raised to 1000 kilometres - that is a million metres - consequently the lowest pay is ONE MILLIMETRE

the violence is proportional to the difference between the highest and the lowest

justice [nontheft] is equal pay for equal work - everyone takes out as much as they put in by their work - violence is proportional to injustice

pay ranges from a million times to 1000th of the avearge pay per hour - extreme extremest injustice - hence extreme violence

the stolen-from trying to get it back, the stealers trying to hold on to it - both sides throw bigger and bigger weapons to try to win - hence weaponry has been growing for 1000s of years

the more money [ = power] a person has, the more money they can get their hands on, and the worse the injustice gets

99% are paid less than the average [which is US$15 an hour for every worker including housewives and tertiary students] - ie, 99% of people would be better off if fortunes were limited to justice - the honey would not be pulled so high, and the levels in the pot would be higher

all it needs is for these 99% to get themselves motivated and determined to get laws limiting fortunes to US$2 million, and the overfortunes to be spread around into every bank account in the world [one per person of course, everyone to have accounts of course], and these 99% will have better pay, and there will be less injustice, violence and war [which is of course on the verge of ww3 which we now know will destroy everything by blocking out the sun and making a triple iceage, freezing everything]

if maximum fortunes were brought down to US$2 million, every family in the world, working average hard, would have US$75,000 a year - there would be very little overpay and underpay [theft, injustice] and very little violence

[so-called religious and racial wars are in fact injustice wars, that is, extreme wealth and poverty, overpay and underpay, failure to limit fortunes to justice - in all the places in the world where there is no economic injustice, there are no wars, even with religious and racial variety]

1% get 90% of world income - they certainly dont do 90% of the work - hence extreme extreme injustice exists - and money is totally important, because all necessities and millions of wants are met by it, so people are naturally righteously angry when it is stolen - hence violence

and violence escalates - as both sides try to win, they get bigger and bigger weaponry - hence history, from sticks and stones to nuclear winter, frozen planet soon if we dont get smart and busy

who wants more money, better pay, peace, and the end of superpowerful people murdering millions at will, warmongering, plundering, destroying?

[who caused ww2? the german industrialists who financed hitler to plunder the world for them]

we are the superbig fools - we let a few steal freely [legally as well as illegally] until they were superpowrful, and thus able to steal and rob and kill quite above the law - and destroy freedom and peace and democracy, human rights, constitutional rights

and we allowed this to happen although the founding fathers knew perfectly well that the land of the free would be destroyed if wealth [overpay] was allowed to concentrate, and passed laws to try to prevent it - although common sense tells you that there is no superpower without superwealth - we allowed the giants to grow who tread on us

and all we had to do was estimate the most one person can deserve, by making wealth by their work [not just rake it by legal thefts] and spread overfortunes around among everyone -

money and power are best when spread -

the work is spread, the money should be too

we cant live in peace because we failed to limit fortunes - we grew giants, who walk around treading on people at will, making violence

it is really simple - for some strange reason, it just doesnt seem to register with people

perhaps people dont know the many legal ways wealth moves automatically, legally from earners to nonearners -

like, a person buys a piece of land, others build a city around the land, making the land valuable, and the person, who maybe did nothing except buy the land, gets all that money, which the others made

there are many many legal ways money moves from true owners [earners, workers, makers] to false owners [nonearners] - as well as all the illegal ways

and we can stop all the ways dead in the water by limiting fortunes to the most a person can earn - $2 million, so no one can take out of the pot more than they put in

as it is, bill gates, at peak income, takes out the products of a million hours' work for every hour he works - if people could realise this, and its terrible consequences [extinction, misery, poverty, slavery, wars, crime, underpay for 99% ] they wouldnt allow it - but it is too amazing to realise, i suspect - people just cant believe it could be true

people just cant face it that they could have been that dumb - if they were dumber, they could face that they were that dumb, but people are so smart, they cant believe that they could have been that dumb, they just cant believe it

so the fact is, we can live in peace - if you can arouse 99% of people to go for much higher pay by limiting fortunes

if you cant believe it, check it out and check it out till it can sink in

I dont think resources have anything to do with world peace.
I believe that people's frame of mind is what leads us all to peace. If we really loved and cared for others genuinely like we would like to be loved and cared for, then and only then we would have world peace. I also believe that eventually this will take place. The human race will reach world peace.

Actually this can be linked with some old political science concepts that led to Communism. It should be noted we have never seen a true communist society so no ranting on how bad it is.

Basicly one idea is you have man (as in the race not biblical), he lives in the primitive form of communism, the tribe. He scrounges around to survive but his fighting is exceptable as it is a form of survival, such as that of any animal.
When man is able to support him self in excess he is able to look at other things aside from basic survival. He creates laws and civilization, with this you get government. The government evovles through time, since still lives with survival instinct he does not understand or is unwilling to understand he does not need to hord his resources any more. So life continues on poorly until he and the government can evovle to the common society that is communism.

This is a basic summery of what I can recall from high school and college.

We can't live in peace because we do not live in a rational society.

Sometimes I think of Jesus coming a again and saying. "People, didn't I go over this the last time. Don't listen to the Pharisees - for they do not practice what they preach."

because the whole world doesn't posess those resources, only certain parts of it do, that is why there is an importing and exporting economy.

by the way, anyone who blames the problems of the world on president bush is a moron . . . there were problems before and there will be problems after.

That is one of the best questions that has ever been asked. I often pray for peace on earth, and would love for my prayers to come true.
I personally think that greed has so much to do with the wars that are being fought and that have been fought in the past.

It's human nature to sin and cause chaos and war. With all the resources the world possesses, it starts wars to get them.

Resources aren't the cause of war. Ignorance and hatred are the cause.

We all need to become buddists.

People need to get over that human nature doesn't allow that. Someone always needs to be better than the other. Besides, it's a lot more complicated than that if you actually think about it.

This is what God's Word says... and it sums up the answer to your question....

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
