The last time I seen my mother was when I was 5yr old. I want to find my mom but it costs money to do so. and the other half im scared on what she would do if she did see me. How can I find her for free. I don't have the money to go looking for her. And I wonder if she has ever looked for me. I have a child and i want them to meet.

i think you should go and see her.she may not be a good person or what you are looking for, but after all, she is your mother.maybe you will become good friends! or maybe you wont like her at all...but either way, you will know what she is like if you go and find her.if you dont, you may never have another chance.you dont know what tomarrow brings and you have to take a chance.i agree 100% to go find her.if you dont have the money, i would save up some loose change and maybe one day soon you will have enough.i wouldnt bring my child or anyone else with me..i would go alone.good luck and God bless

Use the Internet to search for her name in phone directories, contact any and all relatives of hers you know of, and if that doesn't work, peoplefind.com or peoplesearch.com can locate lost loved ones for $25.00.

You can also go to your local courthouse and look up marriage records, because perhaps she remarried, and if she did it would be on file there.

I have a feeling that your mother would love to see you but is too ashamed to face you. If she knew that you love her and forgive her, I am sure she would be very relieved. I think she has been carrying a lot of guilt and self-hatred all these years for what she did. I can't explain why I believe this, I just do.

Good luck, and God bless you in your search.

Is your dad still alive? Become your own detective and start gathering information. Did your parents go to the same high school? Any bit of imformation can be the key you need to find her.
Is there any paper work around your dad's place that might have her social security number on it?
Public librarys usually have phone books for cities around the country. Look there.

Talk with your adoptive parents. Where did they adopt your from. Contact the adoption agency that you can from. Get a copy from the town office of your birth certificate. You can track down what hospital you were born at. You can ask the hospital to contact your birth mother for you if they have her name on file. Ask your local town hall/ office how to find your birth mother without spending much money. There is a registry where you can put your name on a list letting your mom know you want to contact her, so if she searches for you she can find you. However i dont know where or what it is called. So talk to your adoptive parents and local city/town social services.

Try the search engines that are for people search. Also try the telephone white pages. Social security may also have some info.
