Here are some of the possibilities.
100 divided by 2 times .5 dived bye 5 plus 3 times 8 dived by 2
1) 100/2 x .5 / 5 + 3 x 8 / 2 = 50 x 1 + 12 = 61
It is red as (100/2 x .5 / 5) + (3 x 8 / 2)
2) ((100/2 x .5 / 5) +( 3 x 8)) / 2 = (50 + 24)/2 = 37
3) 100/(2 x .5 / 5 + 3 x 8 / 2) = 100 / (1 + 12) = 7 + 9/13 = 7.69...
4) 100/(2 x .5 / 5 + 3) x 8 / 2 = 100 / 5 x 8 / 2 = 80

100/2 * 5 + 3 * 8 / 2
1st 100/2 = 50
2nd answer to 100/2 times 5 50*5=250
3rd 250/5 = 50
4th 3*8=24
5th 24/2 = 12
now we have 50 + 12

(((100 divided by 2) times 0.5) divided by 5) plus ((3 times 8) divided by 2) = 17
This is using left to right precedence for operations that have the same level of precedence (eg, 100 / 2 * 0.5 / 5 will be evaluated 100 / 2 = 50 then 50 * 0.5 = 25 then 25 / 5 = 5).

((((100/2)*0.5 )/5) + 3)*8/2 = (50*0.5/5 + 3)*8/2=(25/5 + 3)*8/2=(5 + 3)*8/2 = 8*8/2 = 64/2 = 2^5
