The only thing you can really do is try and make her understand that your bodyhair is making you uncomfortable and try and explain to her that you think you are old and mature enough to shave and wear makeup. A lot of my friends' parents won't let them wear make up, so what I would do is explain to her that all you want to wear is a maybe a little foundation, light eyeshadow, and maybe mascara. The key to makeup is keeping it simple and natural looking. Try to make some sort of deal with her, like a promise not to over-do your make up. I think the shaving part will be harder to explain, because many parents don't understand why body hair is an embarrasment. But I wish you lots of luck!

my mom didnt let me wear make up until I was 14. But your mom should let you shave if you have hair! If I were you I would tell my mom that someone made fun of me because my legs were hairy. Or you could just take one of your moms razors and start shaving. You could also sit down w/ your mom and tell her that you would like to start shaving and you are ready because you are a teen and you have hair! I think if you have hair then you are ready! well I hope this helps!

my friend says that u should go on a deodorant strike where u dont wear deodorant for several days. ur mom will then realize that u need to shave. to get rid of leg hair u could use Nair instead of shaving. and the make up thing ask her if u can start to use lighter colors.
Good Luck!!

1. You don't need to wear make-up. 95% of teenage girls that use it look ugly as hell and have no idea what they're doing or how bad they look.
2. Chances are it's uncomfortable, am I right? I, personally, detest the feeling of any hair but underarm and leg hair brushing up against skin is very grating and scratchy. Talk to her calmly about how you dislike the feeling; that you're not doing it to attract boys but because you can't even wear regular clothes because you feel self-conscious when people point out how you look.
So just lie through your teeth until you get to her. Or just go out and do it behind her back. It's not like she can force your hair to grow back immediately.
(Also: the hair doesn't grow in thicker, you just get the under-the-skin part poke through which is naturally "thicker" than the previously seen one. Hair always grows with the same length and width.)

Well, if your leg hair is baby-fine, perhaps you don't even need to shave (lucky girl!) But if your hair is coarse and unattractive, tell your mom how much it bothers you and how self-consious it makes you. Most likely she will want you to be happy with your self-image and will let you shave. When you finally get to shave, I recommend Skintamate Melon Burst, it smells really yummy and makes your legs really soft. Oh, and also, don't press the razor too hard on your skin, it causes painful nicks! You probably don't even need make-up, natural is so pretty.

My mother didn't let me wear make up until I was 16, and I completely understand now. We also compromised on the whole shaving issue when I was 12. She let me use Nair instead. Try asking her if that's ok.

talk to her about it tell her it makes u feel uncomfortable to have this unwanted hair. it's something hygienic i mean she should understand, but i'm sorry she doesn't. ask her if u can and tell her it's ur body and u wanna take care of it but most importantly its YOUR body. then ask her for at least 10 reason why u shouldn't. she probably can't, so that gives u gonna got excuse. i always use the 10 reason thing on people and it usually works. good luck!

Your mom is concerned you're trying to act too adult too soon.
She has good reason to be concerned. As the mother of a 13-year-old, I promise you, I am ready to clean my shotgun at any suspicious-looking boy. As far as I'm concerned, they're all the enemy now, even if they played well together 2 years ago.

Just try to talk to your mom about the makeup and shaving. I doubt that if you talk to her in a calm and mature manner that she would have a problem with you shaving and wearing some lip gloss.

seriously, don't rush into shaving. once you start, you have to keep doing it. everytime you shave, the hair is going to grow back thicker, courser, darker, etc. you have the whole rest of your life to shave, just wait. it's time consuming, theres cuts, razor burn and rashes to consider also. and the makeup thing- you are too young to wear makeup. i'm sure that your mother thinks you're beautiful the way you are and she is probably right!
