Barely a trickle of water is coming out of my bathroom sink. The shower and toilet work fine. I checked the knob under the sink and no matter how it's turned, the same little trickle of water comes out. Seems like less water is coming out today than ususal. Any ideas about what's wrong with it?

Both hot and cold are the same pressure, even with both faucets turned.

Unscrew the little screen holder from the faucet... clean the gunk off and put it back on.. you'll be good to go!

Do you have hard water? It could be lime or calcium build up in the faucet. Get some CLR and put some in a plastic cup. Hold it under the faucet for several minutes and see if that makes a difference.

If the hot or cold or both are about the same then unscrew the aerator from The facet and clean it . there may be a plastic disc with a small hole in it it will pop out with a part that has smaller holes clean them out with a toothpick and make sure the screen is clear. There could be a stoppage within the facet itself and that would require further cleaning

Try cleaning the airator at the faucet spout. Unscrew the screening and clean it out. If that isn't it it could also be the supplytube is clogedwith dirt. In that case you have to turn it off and take it apart and clean it or replace it. Now if that isn't it, it is in the main supply line to that ficture and that needs to be replaced.

Your feed line is filled with lime or rust. Replace it from the knob (butterfly valve) to the sink. About 6 dollars at Wal-Mart or hardware store. Measure the outlet in the butterfly valve as there are several different sizes. Might want to replace the valve also as they can wear out and are also cheap. contact me if you need more info.

If the sink is old, it may have calcium build up. If that's not the case, a piece of rubber grommet or seal may have broken of and is obstructing the flow. Either way, you will probably have to disassemble your faucet. Good luck.

I had this happen and the washer in the handle had to be replaced. I described the problem to the guy at Ace Hardware and he got me the washer I needed and told me exactly what to do. I was able to repair it myself. Good luck!!
