In what movies do pick up lines work, because I'd like to see one. In real life? Heh. The kind of woman that does indeed fall for a pick-up line has no doubt been living under a rock for a majority of her life.

What works like in the movies is if you show a woman
disrespect and are a jerk to her, but act tough. No joke,
their legs will magically open up! If you act interested in
what she says and are nice, then guess what! You have
a new friend! Whatever they say, through experience, I
can guarantee that, even intelligent women, will go for you

even a feminist will jump into bed with a chauvanist if he

Pick up lines work if she already decided she likes you. Then you can say almost anything and at worst she'll forgive you for it, at best she'll think you're absolutely charming. But if she hasn't already made up her mind that she likes ya, there's nothing you can say to change it, and pick up lines will just make it worse. Pretty good test, really. Toss out a cheesy pick up line...if she laughs, you're in. If she rolls her eyes, runs away or throws up, then ya probably wanna consider leaving her alone.

They only work if the guy is very good looking and the girl wants him to pick her up.Or in the movies.
If it's done with a sense of humor it's a good way to break the ice.
If you expect a girl to hop into bed with you because you said something clever you're sure to be disappointed.
If you aren't good at starting conversations with girls you will seem like a jerk and ruin any chance you may have had.
Judging from your question I don't think you're clever enough to pull it off.
