Violence IS the answer. Heck, how did we end World War 2 without violence? How do police do their job without the occasional violence?

If your bratty brother started this, then a good lesson to learn NOW is, don't piss-off people older than you who may kick your butt. Maybe getting knocked around a little will do him some good.
However:

If this 13 year old is a bully, you and your brother should fight back and teach him/her a lesson. Your question sure could use a lot more detail so you can get more accurate answers.

quatel c you are an a$$, now for the question, I have a 5 yr old and an 11 yr old, and we have a hit back policy. If the 5 yr old hits the 11 yr old then yes the 11 yr old can hit her back reason being that she has to learn not to dish it out if she can't take it. But my 11 yr old is not allowed to hit her hard, and only while I am there, and she can not initiate physical altercations without severe consequences. I feel if they are having an old fashioned hand fight, let them get it off their chest, and then get over it.

If they are typical in size for thier ages and the punch was not too hard your 13 year old cousin should have been able to restrain you brother without hitting him. I quess you would have to be there to decide.

No cuz hitting is never the answer, nor fighting. Also Hitting isn't worth fighting for,u guyz are family and that's what counts most.Hitting isn't gonna solve anything,It'll just hurt and hurt till u can't take anymore pain. It'll probably hurt ur brother more than you're cousin cuz ur cousin is bigger and older than him, you're brother is little and young.so hope my advice helps!=)
