What is the best brand of batting glove for me to get. I am a 34 yo female and I play softball slow pitch? Also do people wear batting gloves on 1 hand or 2 nowadays?

I always preferred Rawlings batting gloves. I only wear a glove on my left (bottom) hand and also while in the field under my glove as it gives a little extra cushion. I played catcher mostly through High school. The extra padding, though slight, was helpful. Since then, I have been in the outfield when I have played, so it's not been necessary, but just a habit. I feel I have a little better control of the bat if I use only one glove. I like to feel the bat, but there's so much friction on the other hand, that if I don't wear a glove, I get major blisters, even with callouses.

Try the Easton brand gloves. Those are the type i use. I think they're more comfortable and so far they have lasted longer. Some of them also have shock absorbent padding which helps when catching. Batting gloves are usually worn on both hands.
