I understand how you could feel very close to Israel as it is one of the U.S.'s closest allies...but I see a lot of Americans giving their undying support to Israel without even acknowledging the other side's perspective (the perspective of the Middle-Eastern nations). The western media often portrays Israel as the West's savior, bringing light into the darkened, barbaric peoples of the Middle East. But I'm afraid that the American people aren't being diplomatic enough on the issue—they simply see terrorists on tv and assume that all arabs are the enemy. What can we do to change this?

P.S. I'm Jewish

Because people only know what they hear and only hear what they want to. They have heard that Israel is America's ally and so Israel can't be wrong, because that indirectly makes America wrong for supporting them.

Ok first of all America is literally run by Jewish people. Jewish people own the media everything i dont think the president could even do anything without the permission from jewish people lolzzz. As far as Americanz go i live in america too people in america believe what they are shown by the media they do not have time to leave their busy life and go search what is actually going around the world. They see what the government or Bush wants them to see. Just like the war in Iraq. Other than the fact i dont have anything against anyone but Israel took ten thousand Palestine people and in return Palestine took three jewish majors from Israel and all of a sudden it became a big deal what about the ten thousand people. I never see anyone caring about those people it all started out with just three people. Besides Americans cant do anything we cant even stop Bush from the war even after SO many strikes and walks. He just doenst listen

Why do people ask ASININE questions? Then go on to deny the question with an explanation that makes the original question STUPID? America DOESN'T BLINDLY SUPPORT ISRAEL. American NEEDS friends and Allies all over the world.

What can we do to change the view? Nothing. For one thing, we see old men and women dancing with joy when 3,000 innocent people die in New York, DANCING IN THE STREET. So why would we want to change our feelings toward these cowardly, evil people? We owe them nothing, same as we owe Israel nothing. However, Israel is our longstanding ally and has never rejoiced in our pain, and we have not in theirs. As friends would never do. Sure, there are the freaks in each of our socieities, but their harmless enough and on the fringes. When the Israeli ship was bombed, again they were dancing, so I feel no pity when someone "not army" dies. There are no innocents in war. Period. Things just happen. That's why its called war.

Do the large majority of yank Jews blindly help Israel? Did you're taking a poll? How did you come back to this end? You assume a lot that is no longer in data. nicely, to respond to your question. They accomplish that because they see Israel as there religious and cultural position of start. a lot as many Irish-individuals see eire as their cultural position of start and deliver money to help motives there (inspite of in the experience that they have got not in any respect been there). i'm no longer Jewish yet I help Israel in its conflict.

good for you to bring this up - I don't understand that much myself either - it rarely appears that there is true objectivity when portraying issues related to Israel - almost a fear that someone will say something or scream "racism" if someone says something wrong - I think it's gone far enough - there have been many many other holocausts in the history of humanity, but you don't hear about them all the time - yes, it was a horrible tragic event, but it's the past - yes, let's not repeat it, but let's also not hear it over and over and over and over again - let's move on and be a normal part of society!!!

Too many anti American Islamics, Israel is pro American. This should be enough however if there was no Arabs on television burning American flags and Israel was, maby then we would think different.

How odd. In your last question, you said you were only half Jewish! Anyway, when the other side's perspective includes destruction of Israel as its aim, how much more do you need to know?

Great point and question. Unfortunately, under the current administration there is very little any US citizen can do. Bush would still have us believe there are WMD in Iraq.
