The typical reasons for gas burners not igniting on a pilot less system are dirt clogging holes on the side of the burners, bad ignition switches on the valve stem, bad ignition (spark) module, dirty or broken electrodes or ignitors (depending on the terminology) at the burners.

In the standing pilot system the most common reason is clogged holes along the side of the burners.

If its a self lighter....then the piezo element (lighter) maybe the problem
If it normally has a pilot light..then the pilot has gone out.
You can usually lift the stove top and see where the pilot assembly is (usually around the center of the burner aray)
Follow the instructions for lighting the pilot
Make sure you hold the push to lite for a good 2 min before letting it go.
If it still doesn't light..most likely a thermo-couple in the pilot assembly and you'll need to call a tech.
(about 20$ for the part and 30min to install)

Here's something no one else mentioned. If everything works but there's no flame you may need to adjust the air gap, a device on the burner tube made to regulate how much air mixes with the cooking gas. The burner won't light if the gap is closed which could be the case. The air gap can usually be adjusted with a screwdriver. Good Luck!

Your pilot light went out. You need to relight it, usually down by the burners. All these other people are really, really stupid.

Have a maintenance person check it. You're talking gas here - explosion - leadage - WAY too many possibilities for a disaster.
