the muffler would be a start, but anytime u start altering a stock exhaust, get ready to spend some money. Depending on what you decide to do, be sure that you do not alter anything related to emissions, they are required to be in place under the federal emission standards.

really, only the muffler, but changing it may also change the amount of back pressure which is determined by factory spec"s,resulting in poor fuel economy, and a little louder world, go with flo master, tuned exhaust products, and good luck

if all you want is sound, throw on a flowmaster muffler and tip, or another brand of equal value.
for power, you'd want an entire catback exhaust setup.\
btw, i drive a 1st generation DSM, a 1991 mitsubishi eclipse, but i'd rather have the '95 body style :(

if loud is what you want, and emissions are not enforced...cut off the muffler and everything behind it. or, drill holes in the exhaust pipe.
