I think it depends what a person is getting plastic surgery for. Overall, I dig it, but for different reasons than you might think.
Reconstructive surgery for someone severly burned I can understand, but sometimes I am baffled at how low people's self-esteem must be for them to spend so much money for silicone breasts or something. I'm not criticizing them; it's their money and if it makes them happy, more power to them. I just support necessary medical surgery more than surgery that only boosts someone's self-esteem. If it's medical, it makes sense. Someone's self-esteem is a little harder to determine.

Dig it. Some people need it for medical reasons (like car accidents or sometimes the way they were born) and then it can be a good thing.
however I also...
Diss it. Some people just get plastic surgery just to look better. I think everyone was made beautiful, so no one needs to get plastic surgery. Also, I was watching this one show, and people actually became addicted to plastic surgery. I just heard on the news that this lady poisoned her husband and used his money to get breast implants! If that is not obsessive, I don't know what is! I think they should only allow people with real medical problems to get it!

Diss it. Except in certain cases, such as when someone has been injured in an accident and need plastic surgery to repair their faces or any other body part, plastic surgery is a waste of time and money. Getting any kind of surgery is putting your life on the line, and getting an unnecessary surgery is ridiculous. And besides, if the surgery were to leave you looking worse than you did before, you would always regret it.

I`m going to say dig and diss with this one, this is why :
Diss if you are doing it just to have bigger boobs, or bigger eyes, or slightly darker skin, etc. Cosmetic surgery.
But if you got hurt in a accident which left you malformed or with a messed up body part, then the plastic surgery could certainly come to your help, so I would have to say dig under these circumstances.

Diss it. I think people need to appreciate who they are. If everyone in society did this and recognized the true beauty inside and out that people have, the world would be a better place. Standards for "true beauty" would not exist. Many people choose to have plastic surgery to try to live up to a standard of beauty that has been created by magazines and media that are simply unfair and unrealistic. Beauty is being who you are, not living up to other people's standards.
That being said, I do think plastic surgery is acceptable in the wake of devestating accidents that have left a person disfigured.

Dig it.
Some people are scarred by socity and how much it dwells upon appearence. It's sometimes the only option for them to live a happy life. But somewhat diss for those 60 year old women that look like cling wrap over bones. Gross.

Diss it. People now a days are constantly worried about their looks. I understand special surgeries done for health benifits, but for the benifit of a perfect nose? If people stopped spending time worrying over the smallest 'flaw' and started looking at deeper things we would have a better world today, and maybe people would have a little bit more self respect.

I'm a bit of both.
Dig it, if you really need it. I had plastic surgery a decade ago on some scars I have on my face after getting hit by a car, while on my bicycle. They're still there, but barely visible.
Diss it, if you're looking to do it, just to feel like an object.

I don't mind a cosmetic plastic surgery after major disfiguration, but I diss it if it is just because a girl with B's wants DD's.
