Try using ovulation test kits. They are used in a simalar way to pregnancy test, you pee on the stick and it measure whether you have had a surge in the hormone LSH, which indicates you have ovulated. Also, I know its a bit yuck, but keep an eye on your cervical mucus. You should be making love when it is clear or eggwhitey and stringy. Combine these two to ensure you are trying at the right time of month.
If you suspect you are not ovulating, go see your gp. They can do more sufficticated tests to see if you are ovulating.

Yes!!!! Please before you go and get a bunch of invasive tests done try reading about Fertility Awareness. You can find info online or read "Taking Charge of your Fertility" by Toni Weschler. My experience: I was on the pill and went off it because I believed it was doing weird things to my body. I did not get my period for several months, then I had a miscarriage. I blame it on the pill. I did not get my period and two months later I was pregnant and now have a healthy 8month old girl. I have always had irregular periods and I was sceptical about this system but all you do is chart your fertility signals. Not everyone has 28 day cycles! Some people are only fertile for 24 hours. Your body has it's own cycle and you can figure it out by charting your fertile fluid and you can find out when you are ovulating which obviously is the best time to try to get pregnant. This book will tell you so much about your body and help you to figure out what to do about getting pregnant. Good luck!

Your best days to conceive are days 8-15 after your period. No sex days 1-7 after your period. Your husband/sig.other should not wear tight fitting underwear or pants (as heat decreases the number of sperm cells) and a cool bath each night will help. Then relax. Don't think about it so much. You are probably trying too hard. Have you talked to your doctor?
Anyway... I had a friend in your same shoes... that tried and tried. She, fortunately had one child but was having the same problems and was looking at having to take fertility meds to conceive for hopes of a 2nd child. She followed the same advice I gave you. Her days 10-12 fell on my days off from work so I took her 6 year old and she and her husband took that time off from work. Well, she now has and 18 year old and a 12 year old.
Take it easy and the cool baths and loose fitting clothes really do help. Remember... days 8-15 after your period are your peak days to ovulate. Good Luck.
Let me know if you get pregnant!

consult ur doctor and u can also have a full checkup done of ur reproductive track as well as ur hormone levels.there r a lot of hormones involved if u r trying to conceive and it is better to rule out whatever problems u might face.
with irregular periods, its difficult to predict when u will ovulate.in a normal 28 day cycle, its on or around day 14 since ur last period started.maybe ur doc will prescribe some meds to regulate ur cycle and ovulate on time.and most imp, don't get stressed out.29 is not late.u still have a lot of child-bearing yrs left.
all the best!

Check with your GP. Your periods are symptoms of endometriosis and polycystic ovaries. However, these can be dealt with (as long as they are not too serious) with an operation. Then have a few drinks (but make sure he stays sober!) and enjoy yourself! I fell pregnant with my son about 4 months after the operation, using this method!
(When I came round from the operation - a laparoscopic one through my tummy button - my stomach was covered in yellow. I was still groggy and informed my husband and sister that I should not have had the curry the night before. My sister burst out laughing - it was iodine used to sterilise the area!)

My periods were irregular and the doctor put me on the combined pill to sort my irregularity out, when my partner and I tried for a baby I came off the pill, my periods were normal and I concieved in about 4 months, but everyone is different.
I'd go and have a chat with your GP and see what advice they give.

A lot of times irregular periods are caused by hormonal problems and need to be treated by your doctor. Make an appointment with your OB/GYN.
