My friend has been showing all the classic signs of depression lately such as losing interest in hobbies, not eating, physical aches, decreased social activity etc. and i know what the cause is and i need to help her. the only problem is my friend doesn't know that i know about something very bad that has happened to her. she needs to talk about it, but she wont. I've tried hinting at it subtely for example saying to her 'you've been sleeping a lot lately. r u all right?' but she wont open up. i'm really worried about her, i know that she's written a letter to each of our friends to be read if she dies. i feel really helpless what can i do to help her?

i just asked her if she wanted to talk about anything and she said not really. i've already told my mum, and my friends told a teacher who talked to my friend but nothing came out of it.

Depression is a very difficult emotion to experience especially for the one who is actually depressed. You need to be supportive and keep reminding her that you are their for her. Have talked about this with anyone else? The best thing that happened to me was that a family member had helped me get into a doctors office to express myself. What state are you in?

What ever it is let her know you know and that you love her anyway. If someone has done something to her let her know it is not her fault. Be there for her. Try to get her to do things. Try to talk to your Mom or whoever and see if they can help you. Maybe your Mom can set something up for you 2 to do.
I hope everything works out! Good Luck!

tell someone like her parents or some adult you trust what is going on, she'll be mad at you probably but you will know and she will eventually figure out that you have saved her life, do it now it sounds bad
