What did MySpace ever do to you?

Because they believe the propaganda. They think that MySpace is a haven for pedophiles. They think that signing up for MySpace makes you one of Rupert Murdoch's mindless drones. They think that if you can't stay true to your Friendster friends (all of whom are on MySpace now, BTW), then you suck.

My own problem with MySpace is that people using it try to fit everything on one page. For someone using dial-up, all the pictures and the background music take forever to load, especially since the MySpace website itself doesn't seem to be very fast.
A lot of people are very concerned about MySpace, though, because they've heard horror stories about what's happened to children on that site after they gave out personal info about themselves. A lot of MySpace users do tend to be very young and don't always seem to know that they can't completely trust people that they meet on the internet.
Plus there's the fact that there are so many MySpace addicts who prefer staying on the site to doing work, going out with friends, eating or sleeping.
If everyone used the site responsibly (and if the pages people make don't sometimes look very tacky), I don't think people would have any real problems with it.

Because the people keep asking questions about myspace in the computer networking category.
Go somewhere else to discuss the tripe.

I'm a Spacer. And a Facer. I use both Myspace and Facebook often, they're a great way to keep in contact with people you haven't seen in months and aren't super close to, without any awkwardness.

I used it, I didn't like it. I don't hate it, but I found it a waste of time. Facebook > MySpace.

I have found so many friends I had lost on myspace! I wouldn't trade it for the world! But, if I had to pay...fuggeddaboutit!!
