No they are the most overpaid people in the world. They provide nothing of any value to anyone. People say sports builds self esteem and keeps you outa trouble. It seems like some sports figure is always in trouble for something. The people that do something for society are underpaid, military, nurses, eldery care, etc

Most definitely they should get paid multi-million dollar salaries. If they didn't get paid that much, all the money would go to the owner of the team. The stars are the reason people go to the games. If people don't go, the team doesn't make money, and the players don't get paid as much. It is a business. If people don't think entertainers should be getting paid so much, they should stop watching T.V., movies, sports, concerts, buying Cd's, DVDs, posters, jerseys, or anything else that perpetuates their greed. The more money they bring into the organization, the more they are going to want, and usually get.

no just like movie stars neither one deserves all that money they are doing something that yes may be hard and strenous depending on the situation but are they realing doing anything that helps to benefit my everyday living no the people that should be getting the multi millions are the average joes like garbage men porters bus drivers you know the people that help make this world a easier place to live in

if your presence draws that kind of money to the sport and apparently some do then more power to ya. I would like to see some truth in the endorsement game - how many people think Tiger really drives a Buick? think Shaq wears those cheesy little heat wraps on sore muscles?

i feel most of them do ........because the way i see it they are entertainers and they entertain crowds by the millions there lives are put in the spotlight and people are always bothering them for autographs and they really can be normal after they are considered a star
