There is many answers for this question. All depends on the situation. In my option I wish they will tell u first to give u an options if u want to stay in the relationship before the so call "cheat".

because some guys are sneaky dirty scum-bags who want to be womanizers and feed into the hype of being a "pimp" or a player.
Maybe it's because he has feelings for two different women, and can't decide which one he really wants to be with or who he cares for the most.
Lastly he maybe just doesnt care for you or your feelings.
