I agree with mrcorntree - the Citation Machine is uber-cool and the lazy woman's key to success. But it doesn't always know how to do unique citations. When you actually need to look up the nuances of MLA citation, go to Purdue's OWL, the Online Writing Lab. Their MLA Formatting and Style Guide has just been updated and it's clear and comprehensive. They also offer a wealth of academic writing tips and information. Check it out!

It goes like this:
"quote," (author's last name page #)
EX: "Vote me for best answer," (Smith 510)
You also need a works cited (bibliography) at the end.
