To the women who CAN'T ever have a child: Does it bother you? Do you feel like less of a woman? I'm asking because I'm afriad I can't have children! Any input would be great!

My girlfriend doesn't seem to be able to get pregnant. We don't make special efforts to do so, but I have notoriously strong swimmers, and we have unprotected (monogamous) sex constantly. Even if the pill is 99% effective we should still have had ten pregnancies by now (we've been together for years, and she forgets to take her pill once in a while). Anyway, assuming I'm right about this, and I know I could be wrong, the fact remains that we are both glad about it. She doesn't seem to have any regrets. We like being urban DINK's.

I'm not sure if I will ever be able to have a baby or not. My husband & I have been trying for several years now & we have not had any luck. I don't really believe in the fertility meds. or any other kind of help like that nor do I have the money even if I wanted to. I want a child of my own more than anything but I would rather spend money on adopting a child than getting fertility help. I really have my mind set on adoption now and I would be fine with adopting but that is VERY hard as well. Especially if you want to adopt a baby & you don't have tons of money. As far as raising the child money is not an issue. Going through an adoption can be VERY expensive. As far as feeling like less of a women- No I don't feel like less of one- my heart just hurts!

u know when i was younger the doctor said i wouldnt be able to have kids but i have a 2 yr old and 7 weeks pregnant with another baby. maybe you will have a baby when the time is right, god will give u one when he wants you to have one. i hope u the best luck in having a baby. if your young take ur time. a new baby will come sooner than u think. i hope u get a bundle of joy soon.

You said that you're just afraid you can't have children, so that means you don't know for sure. Before you give up you should go see a doc...if you do have fertility problems there are a lot of things they can do to help you.

i never wanted to have children, until my gyno told me i had pre-ovarian cancer. when they told me if i didn't get it treated and followed up on, i probably couldn't have kids. THEN i realized, hey, i may not want kids right now, but probably later on i will!!! funny how you don't know what you've got till it's gone, ya know? also, if you've been on birth control for a while (like, several years) then i t can be hard to conceive right away after stopping the pill/shot/etc.

Ok first before you think you cant have kids go see a fertility doctor i never thought i would ever have kids and now i have two of them.,.. but you could get someones eggs im trying to donate mine GOODLUCK
