I'm pretty sure you can't get rid of the meniscus. It's caused by the polarity of the water molecules reacting to that of the glass molecules. The only thing you can do to make the surface of the water lie flat at the top of the water column, is to coat the tube with some kind of slick, neutral material.

Surface tension of the water causes it to "stick" to the sides of the test tube. Thus, you get a miniscus at the bottom of the concave surface. You can change the material of the test tube to make it flat, but I wouldn't know how to make it convex.

If you overflow the test tube to a certain point, it will create almost like a bubble over the top. Which will create a convex surface.

you can't. The meniscus (the top of the test tube where the water arcs) is always concave for water. It's different for other liquids. When measuring, measure from the bottom of the meniscus.

nicely the exterior water replace into polluted with the aid of many pollution released interior the lakes, oceans. eg sewage pipes in some aspects. additionally some business waste it is released into waters without being taken care of. Now some chemical components and compounds as you understand incorporate heavier and sink to the backside the place they seep into the floor and combine with the floor water. this occurs plenty in agriculture the place the fertilizers seep into the floor and impression the floor water table.

you can't...the level of water sticks to the content in the limit of the content :P
it's because of the cohesion of t water molecules...
you need to check the lower part of the water to see the "true" level
