No you shouldn't be able to feel a tampon when inserted correctly. Try using one with a plastic applicator. It will insert farther smoother. Also try using a Slim Fit Tampon at first. They can be easier to insert. I have pasted some information below about inserting tampons and about slim fit tampons. Good luck!

Playtex® Gentle Glide® Slimfits® Tampons give you full-size protection with our slimmest plastic applicator available as well as a slim tampon. That means more comfort when you're inserting it, plus the same double layer design that adjusts to custom fit your body. Slimfits® Tampons provide the protection you need and amazing comfort and they are great even for first-time users. Available in Regular absorbency and Unscented or Deodorant protection.

Here's How:
Relax! Try not to worry about inserting the tampon right the first time. If you are tense it will make insertion harder.
The best time to practice inserting a tampon is during the heavy part of your period. The tampon should glide inside your vagina easily without any discomfort.
Decide if you prefer to insert the tampon standing or sitting. If sitting is your preference, sit on the toilet. If you want to try standing, putting one foot on the bathtub helps.
Hold the tampon applicator in your right hand if you are right-handed, or left if left-handed.Use your thumb and middle finger to hold the bottom of the larger, outer tube.
Point the tip of the applicator toward your vagina, facing slightly towards the back. The smaller tube should be pointed away from your body.
Use your other hand to open your vagina.
Place the tip of the applicator at the opening of your vagina.
Gently push the smaller end of the applicator in until it is completely inside the larger outer tube. This pushes the tampon into your vagina and out of the tube.
With your thumb and middle finger still on the outer tube, release the smaller tube and let the strings dangle freely.
Gently pull the two tubes out together.
Dispose of the applicator according to the manufactuer's instructions.
When you are ready to remove the tampon, gently pull the withdrawl strings down and forward. The used tampon may be flushed down the toilet.
Tips:
Lubricating the rounded end of the tampon with a water-based lubricant such as K-Y Jelly can make insertion easier the first few times. Don't use petroleum jelly.
Always read the manufactuer's instructions throughly before using any type of tampon.
If the tampon feels uncomfortable it is probably not inserted far enough into your vagina. Try again with a new tampon.
What You Need:
Tampons
water-based lubricant

When wearing a tampon, you shouldn't be able to feel it at all. Maybe you are wearing a tampon that is to big. Or, I know this may sound silly but I know a girl who did this for years...are you taking the applicator out. Lastly, you may not be pushing it in far enough, or the wrong way. You need to go at an angle toward your butt, not straight up.

Push it higher. As long as the string is on the outside of your body, it wont get lost. A tampon can go way up there. If you can feel it, it still is not pushed in far enough.

you're right...you need to be sure it's insert a little deeper where there are no nerves (and therefore you shouldn't be able to detect it's presence). If you're new to tampons, try inserting it after your shower/bath when you are relaxed. Put one foot up on the toilet and insert it until you you hit the finger grooves on the applicator. Bearing down during certain exercises could also be the cause as this will cause it to be pushed out further

If it is in properly, it shouldn't be noticable.
Try to insert it all the way before pushing in the little lever part that inserts it for you.
It helps if you exhale while you push it in and just try to relaxd. I put my leg up on the tub so that I'm at a 45 degree angle which helps a little too.
I like the brands that have plastic applicators which seem to go in more smoothly.
Good luck.

No, you're not supposed to feel it. If you push out the cotton from the applicator a little before you insert, then insert until your thumb and middle finger meet your skin, that should be far enough.

rapid answer is not any. even nonetheless, now and back once you have initially positioned the tampon in, you could sense it for greater or less quarter-hour (in many circumstances once you're taking a seat, or straighten your back and wiggle your hips around - which i visit confess i now and back do as quickly as I certainly have this concern, to envision whats taking place, haha). this happens via fact the direction that the tampon has taken, and the spot the place is has been positioned have been the two incredibly dry. subsequently after approximately quarter-hour, the physique could have released adequate liquid for the tampon to 'soften' and detect a cushty place. in case you could sense it after some million/2 an hour (trusting you nevertheless have your era for sure) then you definitely would desire to push it in a sprint further. now and back it is problematic to accomplish that frequently you will would desire to thoroughly take it out, and pa a clean one in. desire this helped.
