Very often a lot of extra weight is WATER... a sauna will help you sweat some of this out.... BUT a sauna is NOT a weight loss device, and if used improperly can cause other problems!!! A sauna is more for making you sweat to open up the pores and will also, through this perspiration remove excess salts, and toxins from your body... Sauna is best when followed by a quick dunk in a pool to help bring your "core" temperature down... remember, like a SPA, you are only supposed to stay in a short time because the heat will bring up your core temp. this can cause seizures, feinting, even DEATH...
After cooling off with a splash, or cool shower... feel free to get back in..... Just don't be excessive.... AND NO ALCOHOL OR DRUGS!!! This can create a VERY dangerous situation...

Saunas help you sweat profuse amounts.
However, you're only losing water weight.

Once all that water is gone, your body becomes very dehydrated, but that's when it will actually start working the best.

My advice is, use it weekly, not daily. Espeically if you're planning on doing it for so long.
And be sure to drink plenty of fluids after you're done.

saunas help you lose WATER. water has weight. get it. if you rehydrate the weight comes back. that's why the sauna only works, as far as weight loss goes, if you need to weigh less at a particular MOMENT, like when a boxer "weighs in" before a bout. Works great for boxers. hope that clears it up.

It only makes you lose water weight...which can make you able to fit into your skinny jeans for a night, but not true, significant weight loss.
