does anyone know of a cheap, easy way to get fleas out of carpet?

put isopropyl alcohol in a spray bottle, and spray the floor. It is cheap, and works well.

Use borax powder (often found in the laundry detergent area). Sprinkle on carpet and brush in with a broom. Leave it there. It will dry out flea egss and larvae and is safe around pets. Or use a spray that kills hatching eggs, but it must be dry before allowing pets back on the rug. Use Advantage or Frontline on the pet monthly to really kill the fleas the fastest. Only these two products are the safest! Hartz products are dangerous.

Take out the carpet, put in wood or tile, problem solved.
