I'm terribly w/ makeup, and am just as bad at applying. I've got a very pale complextion, brown eyes, and dark blonde hair. What kind of make-up should I used w/out looking making myself look sick?
[Sidenote: Tips on how to apply make-up would be nice, especially on big eyelids]

Heres a link to my Myspace pics, so you can see what I actually look like....[Be gentle, I'm no looker]:

If ya'll could give some good recommendations on how to cover up acne scars, that'd be great, too.

Hello,

I am a Mary Kay sales director so thought I would give you alittle imput. With brown eyes you can wear pretty much any eye color that you would like. Pinks, purples, greens and browns would look great as long as they aren't too dark since you seem to be fair skinned.

I don't see an acne scars on your picture but we have great concealer and I would go with a liquid foundation because powder or creme to powder foundations can sometimes give you a "cakey" look if your skin isn't smooth. We also have a couple of products that can reduce the appearance of the scars (microdermabrasion and even complexion essense.)

Go to my website ( www.marykay.com/kmicek) and you can look at all of the products and also do a virtual make-over to help you with colors and application tips. If you are wanting to try any of the products please let me know and I can get them in the mail to you within 24 hours of receiving your request. I have several different sample color cards that include and entire color look (3 eye-colors, blush, lip gloss) that you can try and there are pictures to show you how to apply it if you're interested.

Good luck :)

Kelly

First of all I want to add that you are a very pretty girl and you should not underestimate your looks. You should go with a lightweight foundation(Flawless Xpert by Mark) and with brown eyes most colors would compliment them. Browns, pinks, greens would be very pretty. Try using a mousse blush in a natural toned color just to give your cheeks a pretty soft looks and use a tinted lipgloss. Don't overdo the makeup thing, I think too many girls apply way too much makeup. You would look great with just a few natural colors to bring out your pretty features. Any questions email me

Makeup. Makeup!? Didn't that go out with the last group of women who were trying to impress other women? The year 1999? A responsible dermatologist would be able to give you makeup tricks if you cannot afford dermabrasion. Really though, self-confidence, becoming comfortable with who you are is life-long. Makeup satisfies the "instant statisfaction" craze. What will you do when you're 40 and you still have the same face, the same eyes, the same nose, the same cheekbones? You're gorgeous the way you are!

Alright, I think Mary Kay is worth the money, I'm not the best looking either, but I look really pretty with their help. I'd try smoky grays with beige highlights, maybe golds and browns too. Nobody is limited to certain things, try anything! For my pimples, I use foundation as a creme, then top it with the glass bottle kind. I get waaay better coverage.

Okay, first things first... Girl, YOU ARE GORGEOUS!!! Say it with me now, like ya mean it!!! Really!!!

I would only wear some mascara and a touch of lip gloss... If you are nervous about your complexion, try a little bare minerals to even it out, with a touch of a pinky colored blush on your cheeks (think of the shade your face turns when you get embarassed, best to stay away from browns or oranges or purples and stuff) ... I use this little routine and I think it works beautifully!!! You will love Bare Minerals and get tons of compliments on your "skin"!

P.S.
YOU ARE SO PRETTY!!!

You look like your skin is okay and pretty flawless, you probley should wear something that is very very light and perhaps for acne scars you can use a heavier powder instead of foundation..
I would suggest Covergirl...they have a wide selection and its really inexpensive...good luck

I went to this MaryKay thing and the person there gave me her website. there is a Virtual Makeover on it. You pick the model that looks the most like you then you can pick makeup to put on. Then if you want then you can order it online. It's really fun! On the site is also tips and stuff for putting makeup on. Go to http://marykay.com/kzorad Hope it helps!

its okay that your not the best at applying makeup
i would use this concealer for your acne scars and dark eyes:
http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P69506&categoryId=C10474
it covers them up GREAT!
another thing...
get a foundation that suits you the best
go around to department stores and test their foundation
believe me...they wont be mad if you say its too greasy, to dull, to anything
heres another concealer/foundation that i would reccomend:
http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?cm_re=B10*Grid*P140940&id=P140940&categoryId=B10
for your eyes....
make them POP out
use bronze, gold, green, brown, purple, pink eye shadows
here are a few ideas for your eyes:
http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P122502&shouldPaginate=true&categoryId=S11503

http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P141984&shouldPaginate=true&categoryId=S11503

http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P112209&shouldPaginate=true&categoryId=S11503

http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P101914&shouldPaginate=true&categoryId=S11503

http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P101910&shouldPaginate=true&categoryId=S11503

that should give you an idea of eyeshadows to use...
for your lips
i would use just a simple lip gloss
nice and pink
not to bright...not to subtle
just perfect.
im sure you'll look beautiful once your done
also...
at sephora, or any makeup place
they will give you a make over
and i advise you...BUY THE MAKEUP THEY USE ON YOU
unless they make you look bad
but if they make you look amazing
buy the make up
or buy what you like the best about the make up.

Your body seems solid. you're literally not fat in any respect! make sure to placed on a bikini. One products and tankinis can make your abdomen seem higher. A bikini will surely make you seem slimmer.
