Allowing the people of the the middle east to govern themselves is hundreds of times better than the "solutions" offered by the Clinton and Carter administrations. If you remember, all they could do is offer the terrorists one concession after another.
The only way to deal with the terrorism is to defeat it and help the peaceful people in the region to control the fascist terrorist criminals.

It is to help protect the world from Terrorists. The better the government in the middle east the less likely terrorists will be to form groups and terrorize the world.
Unfortunately the people are being mislead by the religious fundamentalists into thinking that democracy isn't going to work... but it will. It is the only form of government that has ever been good for the people of the particular country. The only other choice is communism...

You can't install democracy! Th e people of the country have to want it enough for them selves to fight for it. And democracy will never work in Iraq. It is an artificial country. Before World War I it was 3 separate countries under the Ottoman Empire. Under the treaty of Versailles all 3 were put together to form Iraq. We would of been better of after toppling the Iraqi government to of let them go back to the 3 separate countries.

One must understand that Islam, is not only a religion, but a way of life. As such, it will be impossible to install a democracy in an Islamic country, like Iraq for example. Why do we(The USA) try to do it? Because we fail to understand this simple truth!!!

no. democracy is run by the people. islam is ruled by allah. his word supercedes man so putting in a western notion of democracy into there will only make things worse.

We do it because we beleive democracy is best and the American public doesn't want us to install dictators, even though America has.

Name one country that we have helped become democratic. We believe in dectorship, society run by government and business and people as a slaves.

it is good for the people...but the religious leaders hold alot of power and don't want to let it go...like many years ago in western civilization...except now...the weapons are deadlier than what we had many years ago...thus the need to install it...

Well Egypt is already considered democratic as is Israel.
It works for them, it can work for everyone.
