I am 10 weeks pregnant, and i am a bit chubby so I didn't think I would be showing but I can feel something hard in my very lower abdomen, is it my uterus. Could it be twins, it feels so big and out of place!!

At 10 weeks of gestation, the uterus might be palpable just where you describe it, very low into the abdomino-pelvic region [right next to your urinary bladder]. As for the possibility of a twin pregnancy, you'd have to get a sonogram done to either confirm or rule out a multiple gestation. Talk to your Gyno in your next appointment; he/she may wish to order a sonogram. Good luck, and my best wishes for a healthy pregnancy. Expect to be holding your little bundle [or bundles] of joy in about 28 to 30 weeks from now!

Your doctor will tell you at your first ultrasound. You can request one now if you think you're measuring large. You are feeling your uterus. It could be twins, or it could be your uterus is just a bit more in front, or it could be an excess of amniotic fluid, or the baby could be large... Basically, it could be any number of things. I started showing about 9 weeks with my second baby, and I'm kind of a big girl myself.

Yes, you can feel you uterus and it will be at the lower part of your abdomen. You may be pregnant with twins, it just depends.

about ten weeks you start getting what i call my "abs of steal" . Your lower abdomen gets very hard. It's the uterus expanding. Wait til you reach 38 weeks!!

your uterus will expand quite a bit, with placental growth, fluid, etc. it does feel rather hard! your doc will be able to tell you of you are right on track with growth and development with the size of your uterus. an ultrasound is usually routinely scheduled pretty soon, so you'll be able to get all the answers you want and more! congratulations, mama!!

I;m not sure but if you're worried you should see the doc, and you can show at anytime also. Some people barely show at 10 weeks and some spurt out. But to be on the safe side at least call and the doc.

Ask your doctor if you have any questions. Don't be afraid to ask, they've heard it all before.
