i hate the idea of pet's owners buys little dresses or costumes for their pet or dye their fur colour into something more attractive and eye catching like pink or blue, its HORRIBLE, paris hilton dresses her dog chihuahua so much the poor dogs probabaly uncomfortable most of the time, it probably even has its own PJs.
did u know dogs who wears so much clothing on them only get to grow half their normal size (as it says in a magasin).
The clothings are most probably uncomfortable and itchy.
maybe dogs in winter would need to wear such things, but in summer its just too hot!

I don't think it really matters if the dog seems to like it, but I do agree that most breeds would be too hot with clothes during the summer....I've put a shirt on a dog before, they are more than capable of getting it off if they don't like it. Of course...Paris probably duct tapes the clothes to her dog (ever see the South Park show about Paris where the dog kills itself just to get away from her?) But, coloring the dog's fur it just too much and probably not healthy for the animal. And, no, putting clothing on a dog will not affect his growth rate...if that were true then putting clothes on baby humans would keep them from growing.

Speak for yourself- my dog actually runs to me when I pull out her clothes. She is a very small chihuahua, and without her clothes, she shivers and is cold. I don't parade her around like Paris Hilton, but I don't see nothing wrong with making my little baby look even cuter (and making sure she isn't cold). And I have NEVER heard of dogs growing HALF their normal size just because someone puts clothes on them (oh I guess since you read it in a "magasin" it must be true). I'm a VERY GOOD pet owner, and treat my dog better then most people probally treat theirs.

now i am not all down for some clothing i do some times put a shirt or sweater on my youngest during winter because he dose get cold and my schnauzer was born on hallows-eve so i some times dress him for his birthday for pictures i do think and every day think is a little to much but if a dog is use to it is no different than you or me wearing clothing i do not like the ideal of dying a dog blue or pink don't get it, as for them not growing i checked on that and it not true i would like to see the info. But i do not think a dog should be dressed 24/7 ever once and awhile I think it is OK.

I met someone who adopted a dog who, as a stray, was found wearing an article of clothing, which was actually too tight on the poor dog. It's a kind of terrier dog. This dog, I swear, loves to dress up. When I visited her and her dog, she pulled out about 4 or 5 articles of clothing, and the dog absolutely loved trying them on. I think it's a form of security for the dog.
But, if it's cold outside, I think dogs would like to wear something to keep them warm when they go outside for a walk, just as one would wear a jacket or coat.
My answer - clothing is okay for a pet, but don't take it to an extreme.

what would happen to Paris if anyone woul push her to get dressed, whenever she moves out? i guess she wouldn't be happy!
but seriously, there is a bigger problem then dresses for animals. don't mind but most dog breeds are products, yes products, of a very unnatural selection method. so many of them have genetic defects and breed typical deceases. some breeds are suffering on eye trouble(Spitz), some are having trouble with legs(German Shepperd), spine (many large breeds) and on. also those dogs, small and looking more like a rat, then anything else, are simply handicapped. they are not dogs anymore, just genetically manipulated something. it is sad, that it is aloud at all, to do something like this. cuz the animals are suffering.

I agree...pet clothing just looks goofy and unnatural to me. I might could understand it on a very small cat or dog that isn't going to get any bigger and has a hard time keeping body warmth during colder months. But it's otherwise a very selfish thing for a pet owner to do to their animal because it's usually done just for their own amusement.

The difference between Paris Hilton and a Slinky* ??
There isn't any, they are both practically useless........
but fun as heck to watch once you push them down a flight of stairs.
Personally, who cares what that bimbo does??

I think it's silly. Like someone else said, they have too much money and seem to have a strong desire for children and substitute the dog for their children. Poor dogs....poor dog owner....they are all confused.

I like the sweaters, and jackets.
Women who dress up animals seem to be hiding
a need to have their own children.
Poor little animals.
I guess the treats help.
