in computer science, simulation and emulation are some sort of simulated codes or simulated hardwares that can act exactly or the most closely like the original code or equipment that is officially made to proccess that Task and do it...
"emulation" means that you simulate the same task or near it, on THE OTHER CPU...
for example,,,a playstation 2 emulator,,emulates the task of playstation "emotion engine(TM) " that is the name of playstation cpu , on another cpu like INTEL PENTIUM 4...
i hope you've got the answer...
search for this string sweetheart on yahoo or google without double coatations:
"playstation 2 emulator free download"
or
"kega fusion free download" (the best for sega mega drive games emulation on pc)
you must know that simulation and emulation are different...
simulation is simulating something on the other cpu
emulation is simulating something on the same-type cpu
an example of simulation is simulating the driving on pc...

An emulator is a software program that mimics the commands of another type of hardware so that you can run software originally designed to work on another machine within a "virtual computer" environment which is running on your particular type of computer operating system.
There are many resource on the internet where you can find emulators for various platforms.
Here is one such place. This particular emulator allows you to run an old Mac Plus on a PC. It does however require the ROM BIOS image from an original machine to run.

I hope you found this educational. ;)

an emulator is a program that is designed to operate programs from another system or code.
Almost all emulators are available online through Bittorrent.
A good program to use to download torrents is azureus. Download it and then go to a site like "torrentspy" to get some torrents.
Good luck

Emulator programs allow your computer to run games and applications that were designed originally for other devices, such as Nintendo machines, Super Nintendo, Gameboy, Gamecube or even full size arcade machines. Many hobbyists build arcade cabinets that are designed specifically to run a program called M.A.M.E. (Multi Arcade Machine Emulator) so that the cabinet can be used to play hundreds or even thousands of different arcade games.

You can get emulaters for old consoles (eg NES) and for old operating systems (MS-DOS, for example) allowing you to run programmes designed for those systems which are incompatible with your own operating system.
They basically ape the coding of said machine or operating system. DOS-BOX, for example (an MS-DOS emulator) runs on 16 bit coding and thus allows you to run 16 bit DOS or Win 95 programmes on XP, which is solely 32 bit coding.
Abandonia is a good place to get DOS-BOX, but google any others you want and they'll pop up easily.
