live in ohio, my son just got divorced he got shared residential custody can she move away and if so how far?

Yep.
She can move as far as she likes. Escpecially if she claims it is for better job oppurtunities.

That varies from state to state. He needs to find out. In many cases, one parent cannot leave the state without getting permission from the court.
