Based on the information below, this formula of peroxide is an irritant for the skin and eyes. The skin in the ear canal is very thin and easily irritated. So I would NOT recommend this product for treatment of ear wax build-up. There are products widely available without a prescription, that are specifically developed to assist with ear wax removal, such as Murine Ear Wax Removal and Debrox.

If there is a rapid temperature or pressure change in the ear, it can cause vertigo -- a spinning dizzy sensation -- that may also cause the person to vomit. If there is a hole in the eardrum and this product were to get in the middle ear space, it could cause a very acute vertigo reaction. However, I don't know about convulsions.

If someone has had what appears to be a convulsion -- call 911. If you are asking prior to trying this product -- DON'T DO IT. The best way to remove wax is to have a doctor, who can see what he/she is doing get it out; if you insist on treating it yourself, then use a product designed specifically for that purpose.

ok... all you do is drop peroxide in your ear and leave it in there untill it stops fizzing... if it doesnt fizz then i dont think you have an ear wax problem.
