I thought that the other day myself... not sure why that is ... maybe women think too much or we rate women differently.... or maybe we just expect males to be funny so sit back and laugh and enjoy while with a woman comic may be more judgemental and harder on her making her proove her funniness.

The majority of female comedians in the past have always used the same material -primarily tired cliches of men bashing and dating problems. In contrast, the majority of comedians have been men and they use they same material -airplane jokes, zany family members, sex jokes, and bad drivers. The majority of these guys suck, too. So, in a sense, the majority of ALL comedians suck and the female comedians have been stereotyped as being not funny. I know most comedians I've seen aren't really that good. There seems to be some genuinely funny female comedians coming up. Hopefully, they can crush that stereotype that all female comedians suck.

Ya most female comics suck. I'm sure some of them are funny to women. The funniest female comic I've heard is Lisa Lampenelli. She's white and her whole act is basically all racist jokes, but its okay she has sex with black men....(which unfortunetally is the other half of her act :-(....)

Female comedians are rare, but you should check out Kathy Griffin. She's absolutely hilarious!

I tend to prefer musical comics and there aren't any female musical comics I know of. I enjoy Laura Kit-something alot. She's from my area and we have famously unpronounceable names.
