Nothing but blue sky. Lunar eclipses happen at night. Therefore at that time the on the other side of the earth it is daylight and you cant see any stars at all.

You would probably be hoping for a Solar Eclipse right? but no, poeple on the opposite side of the earth, in regards to California, will not be able to see anything except the blazing Sun.

Nothing. The Earth is between them and the Moon. And they are between the Earth and the Sun. They have daylight but no moon.
