Is there any area (city, states, etc.) that arrests someone for not doing anything when an illegal act is in progress? Like in the last season of Seinfeld...the one that lands them in trial and sentenced to so many years.
I'm wondering, especially for these "gang rapes" that keep gaining national attention.

Yes. There are Good Samaritan laws in some States. But it doesn't require you to intervene in a crime taking place if it would endanger you, it requires a person to assist someone who is ill or injured or call for help for someone in need. And it protects you from liability when offering assistance.

Oregon has one for example.

well, if your not actually involved in the crime... no u cannot be arrested. but you could be liable for civil penalties..... if you stood and watched a girl get raped but did nothing, and it could be proven that you knew what was going on and didnt stop it or call the police, then you could be held liable in a civil action. if you saw a guy shoot at your neighbors house, and the cops came to ask you and you say you didnt see anything, then you are witholding info from a police officer thus obstructing justice. the "good samaritan law" is something designed to help protect ppl who TRY to help. such as, if you see a bad accident and you stop, notice the guys car is on fire... now your not sposed to move somone if they have neck or back injuries right? but his car could burst into flames at any second so you pull him out of the car and he ends up paralyzed..... the good samaritan law would protect you from any lawsuits stating that your the cause of his paralysis because you were doing what you thought best to save the mans life

Episode funny, but the law is real. Good Samaritan laws protect people who help others from being sued for any injury.
Example - you come upon an accident & try to give CPR but person dies anyway, you can not be sued. This law is in both US & Canada. Most English speaking countries have a form of it.

You just had to go and throw in Monty Python into the mix... hahahaha Lots of assumptions here...what if your assumptions are the only thing creating a question that in turn has no real substance anywhere in the physical universe other than in your own singular perspective. What makes you think "can be judged for their physical acts" means anything other than one judging ones self? What if the physical universe is simply a creation of each "Individual Spirit" and the confounding co-creative aspects are simply a decision to have someone other than yourself contributing. Maybe the whole event is entirely and completely your own creation. Maybe your own "Anomalous Trandimensional “Miracle” is just to serve a humdrum sperm-like Purpose... Personally I prefer to look at it differently.

Good Samaratin law is generally based on an individual providing medical attention - such as cpr - without the risk of being sued by the individual being rescued. For more info - http://medi-smart.com/gslaw.htm.

Good sumaritan laws are designed to protect people who do stop to help from litigation. It dosn't punish people who don't stop to help.
