whats this have to do with marriage and divorce ?

Taped conversations can not be utilized as "evidence" in a court of law as a way to prosecute someone as per most laws but you can utilize them as witness and that is left up to the judge or jury to decide if they are creditable. It is usually determined as HERESAY... and can not be entered as evidence due to the ability of the voices being altered and words moved around kind of thing.

plus to tape somebody without there knowledge can be illlegal
