we are two groups and we share the same webhost for our thesis

the thing is we already passed our thesis and the new batch doing thesis (same with us "web development") is using our files to integrate with theirs?! how can i tell them to stop doing it without offending them?!

did you have the same situation? how did you handle it?

Is what they are doing unethical? Would it be considered cheating? Then you can inform them that if they continue to steal your work, you will have no choice but to inform the administration. If they do not stop, tell the administration exactly what is happening.

Plagarism is a crime. It will haunt you later in life when you are discovered. Just ask the guy who Oprah gave a tongue lashing to about a book she endorsed. Found out the guy plagarized and fabricated stuff.

Enlighten the thieves about this.

If you're at a university, they typically have strict policies about data usage. Talk to your professor, seriously. Be sure to back it up with evidence though, because if they treat it as a plagerism case, it could get ugly.

ask them nicely with respect if you use the right tone it will be a OK and just straight up tell them you don't mean to offend them that you just honestly want to work together and do whats right

well im still in high school so i dont know if this is the same

but if i mooch off somebody for work, i have to return the favor.
if i borrow elliot's bio notes, i let him see my algebra.

but we cant really get in trouble b/c it's homework, not theses

if u can block ur file for them.........or u can say directly to them in apolite manner. ihad a similar situation once........at that time i was also stuck what to do but then i told them directly not to do that n know what, it worked.........u can take help of ur suoerior also.

its very designers nightmare -- its really hard to stop those people who rips. always remember ur the original & no ripper can take that from u. to hell with it let them copy if they want to, if they copy u it means ur good.
