I seem to remember he got into a contractual dispute. What are the details (if so). What acting if any followed. He is in a Hallmark movie now. He seemed to leave a gaping hole in the show. Ok what is the skinny, the low down, the gossip, the facts.

Aside from the contract dispute, he wanted to pursue other avenues of acting opprotunities and felt he should strike while the iron was hot.

I don't remember why he left the show, but today he is a director and producer of a number of movies.
I still enjoy the Walton's when it is shown. The show started coming apart when Grandpa died then when grandma had her stroke it was a further blow then when mother Walton left it was only a matter of time and the whole show broke apart. I think Thomas had left by that time.
