San Diego things to do:

Sea World is more like an amusement park. There are more rides, and it's good for someone who doesn't have a great attention span (I'm not saying that's you, ok?!!!) If you have only 3-4 hours, you'll feel that you accomplished a lot.

Education-wise, Sea World has an obvious edge in the aquatic, marine life department. So, you have to factor that in if you like sea animals.

The Zoo has a lot more to offer, if you have more time. The Park is huge, and there's just so much more to take in -- not just animals, but plant life, two immense bird "cages", and yes, there are shows. Parking is free, unlike Sea World.

Outside the Zoo, you've got Balboa Park, with museums, the planetarium, space theatre, and nice restaurants.

If you are coming from the north (or staying in the northern part of San Diego), there's the San Diego Wild Animal Park -- and that's even bigger, with animals living in their own natural habitat.

Which one is better? Personally, I'd go with the Zoo. There are Sea Worlds in other states, along with other marine parks. But there is only ONE San Diego Zoo. Very few zoos in America compare to San Diego.

You're not in Kansas anymore!! (hehe)! Many, many. many, many, many fun things!!! Great beaches, with all the beach sports, beach parties, and beach BBQs. Sunbathing. Boating. Skiing. Swimming. Rollerblading. Rollerskating. Jogging. Seaworld. San Diego Zoo. LegoLand. Wild Animal Park. Waterpark. Kite flying by San Diego and Mission Bay. Hang glidering at Torrey Pines. Go-carting everywhere. Camping in the mountains just east of the city. Desert fun in the deserts just east of the mountains. Visiting Mexico (with an adult), just south of the city. Visiting Disneyland, just an hour drive north of the city. Playing beach volleyball with me in North and South Mission Beaches, Pacific Beach or LaJolla Beaches. (hehe)!

learn how to surf on long boards, fish, spear fish jump off the ventura bridge, i did that when i was a kid and loved it. Paddle surfboards in the bay and climb up on the Bahia bell and jump off the back until the security cards come than just paddle away on your surfboards.
That was just a few and of course meet girls from Arizona

Do not go to Sea World! The captive Orcas are in small pools and it is depressing. Watch the movie Blackfish that exposed Sea World to the sad facts of capture. The Orca babies are separated from the mothers and the movie is so SAD!
