You can use whatever you want. You can set either one as a default browser, but still will be able to use both (even at the same time if you want).

It's not a bad idea to keep Internet Explorer after you download Firefox. Some sites still don't work with Firefox, so I'm forced to open them in I.E. Just don't uninstall IE after installing Firefox. That way, you can set FF to default and still have IE on your system.

Cheers!

As stated above you can use BOTH browsers. I use Firefox but have IE on my computer (barely used but it's there if I want to ).
There are some advantages to accessing certain sites with IE but I truly have great experience with Firefox sooooooo it's a personal choice and a bit of a security factor for me. I don't like the browser hijack attacks frequently build to hijack IE :-((

Not at all. You can still use IE even after installing Firefox. Both browsers can peacefully coexist on the same computer. (That's how I have my computers set up.)

There *is* an option to hide IE if you go to the "Set Programs Access and Defaults", but you have to explicitely go and do it.

As painful as it is, yes you can use Internet Explorer if you have Firefox.

You can actually use both browsers, like me. But of course, you can only choose one as your "default" browser.

Cheers! :)
