Im am sick to death of all the cautions , it drives me insane , i can understand to an extent for saftey reason but if somebody spins out and are out of the way , they re-enter the track behind eeryone and are back up to speed by the time the field comes around then why do we need a caution , its just getting outrageous am im nearly to the point of just watchin the updates on nascar.com and not even watching but the last 10 or 20 laps

I am not really an outside girl, but I love NASCAR.
I say make them shorter so I don't have to sit in the hott sun for four plus hours. I have even gone to the Busch race instead of the Cup races because I got to see all of the action during a shorter race format.
However, I don't think they will EVER shorten the race for any reason. That would be less merchandise, food, drinks, etc that they would sell so it would not be in their best interest. Additionally, they are starting the races later next year, I think all races are going to start after 2 pm next year. Then they will have even more time so sell their wares.

no, the length of the race is part of the strategy of racing. the length gives the pit crews a chance to shine. If you shorten the races, then the pit crews don't really have chances to show their strengths. NASCAR also wants to by the POCONO track so they can cut one of the races, but the owners wont sell, which i agree with.

That is a difficult question to answer. Part of the strategy is to plan out the race, but some of the smaller teams need all of the help they can get. I say leave them like they are for now, and let the future carry itself.

I like the strategy of the long races but one option could be to break down the races into heats like they do in sprint car racing, hey just a thought.

Their is so much money flying around there that they can afford it. Personally, i think some tracks should be longer, but i see why some are shorter because of the location they are at etc...But if you start shorting the race they might start losing fans...maybe! I would still watch! ;)

they need to cut out all the yellow laps that let everybody pit, get back in the pack, and have a beer break. car spins, yellow comes out, track is clear, green immediatley drops.
NASCAR is like american football, let's stop and talk about it more than we play the game.
