My boyfriend (before he met me) use to put the internet dating ads over the internet. I dont kno if he ever met anyone, but months into our relationship I found out that he still had internet dating ads, some of which he put up WHILE we were together. He is a MAJOR FLIRT! And I put up an ad on the same site, pretending to be someone else. He sent a message (after I sent one to him) saying he was single and givin me his number. I confronted him about it, he said sorry and that he only did it because he was "bored" but i found NUMEROUS ads and profiles of his on the internet saying he was single and blah blah. His excuses are that he was bored, or he just wanted to see if he "still had it" I know he still has dating ads on the net and hes created several email addresses he thinks I don't know about. When I confront him about it, he goes BALISTIC!! I dont know why he keeps doin this, and I try to please him in every way possible. What could he be getting from this, that Im not giving him?

Yes, he is cheating on you and don't let him make you second guess your feelings. One reason people like to 'date' on the internet is because they can pretend to be someone they aren't...this gives him a feeling of self confidence, something he apparently can't find in 'real' life....Don't keep confronting him about it...you are only feeding his ego by doing this. The best thing you can do is tell him 'good bye'....you deserve better....raise the 'bar' and don't lower your standards for a guy who lies. Don't accept boredom as an excuse.

Cheat over the internet? I would say his cheating goes beyond the net. So long as he is still shopping? He is still test driving too. I don't know why you keep staying with him. He's a liar and a cheat. Is this really how you want to spend your life? Sorry about harsh

You are not giving him space, support, understanding and patience for what he is doing. Start there and and over time, he will be able to share more with you of what he is doing and then it will broaden into WHY.
The more you clench on to him in a vain attempt to keep him for yourself, the more you'll find him wandering to those who are more patient, giving, supportive and understanding.
Maybe you should start that process while you still have him and learn somethings along the way.

maybe he's getting a thrill from "sneaking around." that could be why he got mad when you confront him on the matter...i am happily married and i met a girl on a friends site and we have been flirting for quite some time...actually, more than flirting..i guess it thrills me..i would never act on anything, but if the shoe was on the other foot, i would be very hurt if i caught my wife doing the same thing..was this any help?

You need to ask yourself why you are still with him and tolerating his lies and emotional abuse?
Life is tough enough...value yourself enough to leave this lying ingrate, and find an honest, caring, faithful guy who can appreciate all that you have to offer.
