If you've copied something then it is in the clipboard, a temporary storage area for storing various types of data (for example, text, graphics, sound, and video). Once you have copied something to the clipboard, go to where you want the data to be, right click and select 'Paste' or hit the CTRL+V hotkey combo (hold down the ctrl key and the v key at the same time).

To see what's in the clipboard you need a clipboard viewer. Windows has one you can install. To check and see if you have it already click Start> Programs> Accessories> System Tools> Clipboard Viewer.

If you don't have a listing for clipboard viewer I would suggest trying a more advanced version over the Windows version. Something like 101 Clips:

The clipboard is a portion of the RAM (Random Access Memory) of your computer. There is no direct way of accessing it that I'm aware of. When you cut or copy something (text or image) it is sent to the clipboard. When you paste that item, it is brought from the clipboard and placed where you've designated. That item is still available in the RAM until you cut or copy something else or turn of your computer.

The clipboard is a spot in your computers memory. Unless you install a clipboard viewer, you can not see it. What you do is copy the item into the clipboard, then go to where you want the item and do a paste. It will place the copied item there.

You can get to the clipboard viewer in trhe control panel, OR you can paste what's in the clipboard into some other application.

Such as doing a copy of the screen, adnthen pasting it into MS Paint. Or copy from one document and paste into another.

The keyboard shortcuts CTL+C (copy) and CTL+V (Paste) should help a lot.

Click File, New. This will open the task pane along the RHS of the window. In the upper RH corner you will see a downward pointing tringle (arrow) on the LHS of the "X". Click the down arrow and click on "Clipboard"
