I would venture to say you may be more bi-curious than anything... As far as telling your female friend... I would wait to see what her feelings towaards you are in that respect, also to see if there is any possibility that she was bi-curious as well. It'sa a touchy path. Finding a way to drop a subtle hint to her about your attraction will be difficult.

It sounds like you are bi. The biggest thing you should ask yourself is 'have I always been attracted to girls or is this the first one?' If this is the first one, it might be a phase and you might be straight. You have to be attracted to boys and girls equally or almost equally to be bi. Try taking some time to yourself, write down your feelings in a journal and figure yourself out. If you find that you are really bi and are still attracted to your friend, then try talking to her about it.

I would say that you are gay. Seriously. It is just that you are beginning to realize it. I am too but I can still find members of the opposite sex attractive. However, I still definately would like to be with a member of the same sex.
As for your delima I would say asking generic questions to feel her out (mentally) to see where she is about gay relations. If you continue this way you will be miserable. Besides that, what type of friendship is it if there isn't honesty?

Short retyped answer: Maybe just curious or maybe bi. Keep friendship, but ask her questions to see her view on bisexual and lesbian people. Figure out your true feelings first. Try going to a GLBTQ youth group. Q is for questioning, ie you.

Just because you "like" a girl doesn't make you bi. Maybe you're just going through a time of experimenting. I think that's healthy. Later on you'll know the answer.

How old are you and are you in an environment to let her know? I'd hate for it to be at school and it backfire on you and others would not accept it. I think if you're comfortable and in a safe environment to speak your mind then do it! You shouldn't hold back on your feelings. But maybe its not the right time.

Just start a casual conversation with your friend about whether or not she'd ever consider trying things with another girl. Depending on her answer and thoughts, go from there.
