Description:
Check out summer fun past and present in our newest exhibit Boats, Bikes & BBQs & Other Fun in the Sun!
"We invite locals and visitors to come and see the variety of summer- related treasures and activities that people do and have done in Clay County," says CCHS Director Lisa Vedaa. "You can even get some great ideas for your own summer activities!"
The exhibit showcases lake and water-related activities, the great outdoors and summer sports, and backyard fun. Among many other items, the exhibit includes an Ole Lind boat, Minn-Kota trolling motor, 1930s baseball jerseys from Sabin and Barnesville, historic Dairy Queen artifacts, and 1950s travel games.
"We have spectacular photos of people enjoying our beautiful Minnesota summers," says CCHS Archivist Mark Peihl.
Visitors can pickup handouts of travel games. The historical society has created its own travel game - Clay County Bingo! The bingo card is the shape of Clay County and the game squares are the townships. The township squares are filled with sites and events to visit and things to do in Clay County in the summer.
Free Admission. Museum hours are 10-5 Monday-Saturday, 10-9 Tuesday and 12-5 Sunday.

Holy moly, yer an fool. there's a brilliant difference between all people status on their very very own 2 feet and all people assisting out their neighbor while they choose some thing. This state is geared up on community (as antagonistic to government). no longer in straightforward terms is all people with regards to all people else, yet every time somebody has a wellbeing disaster and unexpected medical costs, the community rallies around them and will improve money to help. no person right here can stay on the winters we've with out folk staring at out for the different -- so we do. we don't wait for government to do it FOR us, we do it ourselves. Oh, and btw, on an identical time as you're looking issues up, seem up the monetary agency of North Dakota, the North Dakota Mill, and the Nonpartisan League. you basically must be shocked at how "socialist" those conservatives are/have been.
