Mary Kay sucks.
Bare Minerals is great, however I think you don't need it yet.

Depends on your skin type. Some makeups are made for sensitive skin, so you should always know your skin type. If you go into the mall, go to a makeup counter and the professionals should be able to advise you on what type and what colors to use. Make sure you visit at least 3 makeup counters(different brands, m.a.c , clinique). But dont buy the cheap stuff, they can really harm your skin.

I agree w/some of the above; at 13 you can still get away without using make up, appreciate that! If you want good stuff, you better have a stocked piggy bank! Clinique is good but mucho dinero! Those $1.99 brands will just clog up your face.

Hi, Have your Mom go to www.wonderful.myarbonne.com and check out their About Face Line and the two of you could figure out which would be best for you. If you want to know what goes into OTC makeups and lotions google "rendering plants." Arbonne products are pure, safe and beneficial. They have no animal by-products in them and are never tested on animals. Now is the time for you to really learn how to take care of your skin and Arbonne products are great! Good luck to you.

Congrats! you're now officially a teenager!
for starts, invest in an eyelash curler, mascara and lip gloss.
stay away from compact powder and foundation. when your friends break out from caking all that powder and foundation, 5 years from now, you'll still be glowing and flaunting your naturally flawless skin! the new look now is not to wear any makeup! so don't waste your allowance on stuff you won't need. for those birthday parties and girls night out, dark mascara will fatten and lengthen your lashes, curling your lashes will open up your eyes, and lip gloss will give you yummy lips for a nice finishing touch! have fun and start drinking water - tons of it! it's the secret to beautiful blemish free skin that will have your friends envying you for years- trust me!

Natural minerals are the best for your skin (they do not clog your pores the rest of them do)......there are more mineral make-up companies than Bare Minerals.......many more. I have purchased from several and they are all natural and good.....It all depends on what you are willing to spend.....you are young....Shea Soap and water should do it!

yes bare minerals is a great makeup to use because it has vitimins and ur skin will not break out. but for a cheaper brand of it get youngblood or aloette they r really good for ur skin and u will appreciate it when u get older.

Okay, well i know M.A.C has some really nice blush and eyeshadow, but i wouldnt recommend the lipglass i think its too sticky, M.A.C.is a bit pricey though, Loreal has some good mascara and lipgloss, lancome and clinique have some really nice things too. Maybelline is also good

depends on who's buying your make-up, because, last I checked, most 13 year olds don't have jobs, and Bare Minerals isn't exactly cheap.......

I use prescriptives, they sell it at Dillard's. Its a little expensive, but it lasts a long time. I have sensitive skin and it does okay with this brand.
