Is there a way to connect to the internet without using a phone line? Cant get dsl where I live.?

You could try wireless high speed Internet if it available in your area. With satellite you still need a phone line as a control line to instruct the server to send you data and it's totally useless for online gaming because of the lag between request and response time. If you don't have either then you're totally out of luck until you either get a phone line for dial-up and satellite or ADSL if it ever comes to your exchange, you get optical fibre connection (don't hold your breath on that one) or wireless Internet comes to a area near you. If u dont prefer to save telephone line busy then best suited is to get a Broadband connection, for this you hav to purchase an ADSL/DSL Modem.. this would connects you to the internet at the same time as telephone line will be loose.....

There is hardly anywhere that you can't get cable. If you just can't get dsl in your room or office you could consider getting a wireless modem. That way you have a connection where you can get it and you can get on the internet anywhere in your house.

some satalite companies offer a high sped connection. however it is more expenive then cable/dsl and only download speeds are fast because you still have to use a phone line for uploads. something to check into

Direct T.V. has meh broadband over the dish. There are other companies that do this also. It isn't cheap. 30-50 a month. Verizon also can do it over the cell phone for computers which is about 69 a month.

yah satelite but thats if you want to pay like 200 for installtin and like 90 a month dsl is faster

I am in the boonies where there is no cable and have had to go to satellite (Hughes).
