yes indeed Evansville Indiana June 3 1970. I had just finnished high school, He was subdued you know? the music was good. I have wished i could do it again, i think with what i can hear now in the recordings, what would i understand from a live performance.I wasnt ready for Jimi.I was not alone. If you have seen the movie Jimi Plays Berkley, that show was filmed the same week i saw the Man.

Okay, I hope you enjoy this ! I am 59 years old & my husband of 41 years is 62. In 1968 we BOTH took turns & drove our Honda 350 motorcycle, I had long hair like Cher & had butterflies all over my helmet. Something you didn't see much back then was woman driving bikes. We had a wild bunch of friends & when Jimi Hendrix died we held a huge wake for him. We all got drunk on Boone's Farm apple wine & barfed & pooped for the next 2 days. Young people see gray hair & grandparents & you just never can imagine how much fun we had in the 60's ! We never actually got to go to one of his concerts but saw him on t.v. & had all of his music. He was a wild guy & died too young from an overdose. By the way we are white folk but still jammed with Jimi !
