Is the war on terror about the desire for a peacefull world, or is it about getting revenge on those who attacked us?

I think America is realistic enough to realize that world peace is an unachievable goal. As wonderful as it would be, it's not going to happen anytime soon. The war on terror is about a desire for a more secure America, and that is what is being accomplished. It is also about the liberation of oppressed people of the world..
Afghanistan was directly about 9-11..as well it should have been, unless we want more of the same.

The whole war and fighting is about who has the most money in the world bank. It really is not about peace or getting revenge it is about controling alll the money in the world.

I would hope it's for peace. That's why I was against Iraq. It wasn't the time for Iraq. We were SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO very close to cutting off the head of the Al-Quida snake. I don't understand why we went away from that. The only explanation that makes sense to me is that Bush wanted Osama alive so he could play the terror card for his re-election.

we can't just sit around and wait to get killed , we pay our army to protect us and they are doing a damn fine job of bringing peace to america

from alot of none americans- myself and others i know- it seems to be all about revenge, oh, and oil.
what is the point of punishing people who kill innocent people, by killing more poeple
